California Girls
August 17, 2010
This shoot was in Vancouvers lovely Queen Elizabeth Park. There I met a team of about 10, to pull together some creative juices and have a little fun. The theme was candies, from top to bottom the sweet inspiration goes: Chocolate, Peppermint, Lollipop, and Cotton Candy!

I was extremely excited to be working with a new photographer, Norm, and model, Maiwan, this past shoot. They both have a similar feel to their work, that being of a pinup towards a more kinky, sexual, dark look. When initially viewing their past photo sessions I was definitely intrigued.
Take a gander:

For this shoot we headed toward a more fashion-esque approach. With the collaboration of our talents and styles, the images that resulted are very striking indeed! take a look…
Bryon Anderson

Photographer: Lynol Lui
Model: Bryon Anderson
MUA: Carolyn Leanne Secord
Here is the latest with Bryon Anderson. It was his first shoot but he is definitely a natural. He was a bit shy in the beginning but look at the beauty and talent.
Also more amazing photography from Lynol Lui. He was working with an almost black and white, blue tinted monochromatic pallet, giving the images a lot of dimension and shape. He concentrated on revealing and concealing with the cropping and and shadows. I find them soft and slightly sexualized.

“ekleipikos, greek for ecliptic or eclipse came to mind while editing. with the power and beauty you witness during and eclipse, layers, multiplicity and chaos created from the apocalyptic distortions felt during the even. well at least that the beauty i’m thinking of, lol.”
Those words are from the very talented photographer and friend, Lynol Lui. He is always pushing the boundaries (and mine!). Whether it be the subject matter or conceptual ideas, styling of the photo or style itself, he never ceases to disappoint. His dedication to his work and constructive criticism on mine has made him a very inspiring person and mentor. I am looking forward to the continuation of our collaboration.
